Privacy Policy

Safety Hank (“Safety Hank”, “we”, “us”) provides a service that lets construction supervisors and crews create jobsite safety documents by text message and through our website. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, company name, email address, and mobile phone number.
- Content you provide — the safety topics, worker names, job sites, and certificates you enter or text to us so we can generate your documents.
- Message data — the SMS messages you send to and receive from Safety Hank, and delivery status.
- Usage & device data — basic logs (timestamps, IP address, actions) needed to operate and secure the service.
2. SMS / text messaging
You opt in to SMS by checking the dedicated SMS-consent box at signup, or by texting us first. SMS consent is optional and is not required to create or use your account. If a company administrator adds a crew member's number, they must first obtain that person's consent. Messages are limited to service-related content — prompts to build your safety documents, delivery confirmations, and account notices.

- Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Mobile information is used only to operate Safety Hank.
3. How we use your information
- To generate, deliver, and store the safety documents you request.
- To send the SMS and email messages that are part of the service.
- To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
4. Service providers
We share information only with vendors who process it on our behalf to run the service, under confidentiality obligations:
- Twilio — SMS delivery.
- Anthropic — AI generation of document text.
- Stripe — subscription billing (we do not store your card number).
- Postmark — transactional email.
- Our cloud hosting provider — storage of your account and documents.
These providers are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
5. Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. Generated documents and temporary PDF tool files are retained per the service (temporary tool files are auto-deleted within an hour). You can request deletion of your data as described below.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
7. Your choices & rights
- Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
- Access, correct, or delete your account information by contacting us.
8. Children
Safety Hank is a workplace tool and is not directed to anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; we will post the new effective date here and, where appropriate, notify you.
